On a warm summer day, time is best spent outdoors. As lovely as the New York City parks are, taking in nature is a luxury. But thanks to a quick ride on the MetroNorth, you can be on top of a mountain in no time flat.
At the top of Anthony's Nose (insert obvious picking jokes here), there are breathtaking views of the Hudson River and Bear Mountain - accessible by the Appalachian Trail and only takes 3-4 hours up-and-down.
The below photos were taken with a Canon 70D and a fixed EF 50mm f/1.8 STM lens.
